Northside ISD hosts three regional science and technology competitions: Solar Car Races at the elementary level, the Middle School Science Bowl, and the High School Science Bowl. Middle School Science Bowl consists of two parts - an academic quiz in a game show format and student-developed hydrogen fuel cell car races. Jordan Middle School won this year's competition held at Stevens High School on May 9. These students will compete at the National Middle School Science Bowl in Colorado in June:
