CPS Energy presented a check for $95,392.05 to NISD at the Feb. 26 Board meeting for the lighting retrofit project underway at Marshall HS. Marshall is being retrofitted with energy-efficient lighting as a part of a pilot project between the District and CPS. The lighting is expected to reduce the school’s energy costs by 30 to 50 percent. The program, which was spearheaded by Frank Thomas and Bruce Dschuden, will be expanded to other schools in Northside and San Antonio.
