Seven Northside ISD students were named semifinalists in the 52nd annual National Merit Scholarship Program. These academically talented high school seniors now have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 8,000 Merit Scholarship awards, worth more than $30 million, to be offered next spring. The nationwide pool of semifinalists includes the highest scoring entrants in each state. NISD National Merit semifinalists are:
