Twitter is a social media that allows users to post short messages, called "tweets."
You can view NISD's Twitter page to view updates at any time, and/or you can sign up to receive a text message on your cell phone every time NISD posts a new tweet.
Here are instructions to sign up and to receive text messages.
Once you've signed up, go to NISD's Twitter page and click "follow."
While NISD employees can not access Twitter from District computers, NISD's Twitter stream will be posted on the District's Intranet, an internal employee web site.
You do not need to register with Twitter if you simply want to view NISD's tweets. The NISD Twitter page,
www.twitter.com/nisd, is a public page and can be viewed at any time.
