Lingyi Zhang, a student at O'Connor High School, qualified for the University Interscholastic League (UIL) State Number Sense. The UIL Number Sense Team involves taking a 10-minute test using strictly mental computation to answer questions covering concepts of basic mathematics, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, analysis, number theory, and calculus.
The UIL offers the most comprehensive literary and academic competitive program in the nation. More than half a million students participate in UIL academic contests.
